Terra

The soil holds mysteries unknown to Man. That’s why we have called our table Terra. We have chosen to create a cuisine out of what we love and what we know how best to produce. Terra starts in the heart of a historical olive grove located between a vineyard planted with Cesanese grapes and a vegetable garden offering seasonal bounties.

Seven Days on Seven, Terra is open for lunch and dinner with dishes and recipes by chefs Mirko Santangeli and Gianluca Pronti. Check out the Menu our extensive seasonal menu available Friday through Sunday, and follow Terra's Facebook page for the daily menu with dishes designed daily for guests staying at the Maison and also offered to outside visitors.

For early morning breakfast lovers, there's a surprise: the "alzatina" with homemade cakes and many other local artisanal delicacies.

At Terra you will find an Oil List with excellent products from 18 Italian regions and a Wine List (Winosophy: Around the World in Eighty Glasses) that offers 150 labels from 56 vineyards and as many terroirs from around the world, from New Zealand to South Africa, Argentina, the Rhine Valley, Burgundy, Tokaj, and of course, every Cesanese DOC and DOCG label from our terroir as well as our own wines produced in Terra del Barolo and our two vine varieties from Central Italy.

Oils and wines, grapes and olives, grinding and harvesting inspire and accompany the few but great dishes we prepare. Many traditional dishes from Ciociaria and the Latium region reinterpreted with a modern slant, as well as specialties from other regions, starting with Piedmont. These are exceptional products that find their best expression in their simplicity and masterly preparation.

At Terra, every meal starts with the tasting of three oils from different Italian terroirs. Then, every evening from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, there is also the Piglio Wine Tasting: a bistro corner where it’s possible to choose a glass of any one of the bottles offered by Winosophy and enjoy it with a selection of finger foods or cheeses and charcuteries from the region of Latium.
